Hey Hey,
Long time, no posting. It's been a while.... I deleted the blog/shut it off for reasons of brattiness & irritability. But now that I'm back & posting to all however-many-of-you-there-are, Imma catch you up to speed on a few things that happened in my leave of absence.
1) CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
'twas truely amazing & wonderful this year. Don't get me wrong, it is every year, but this year was the bestest ever(until next year, I hope!)!!! The gifts weren't the biggest highlight for me(although I did get EPICTACULARISMSOMENESS.5 ones), I loved em, but the biggest things were everyone who came over & the new & old Christmas traditions- Le swears up & down for weeks beforehand that shes gonna wake us up at 4 for presents but since shes turned 14, she's discovered the wonderfulness of sleeping in & didn't start making racket & flipping on lights till 5:45/6. My Grampa came over for breaky(tradition since forever); he leaves; we have a pocket of time to pick up the bows, tags, boxes, bags, etc & get ready for the gang that storms over for dinner; the gang arrives at different times & we indulge in the junk like chips & salsa, cheese balls, dips, crackers, etc while a select few scramble around the kitchen clanking pots & pans(yeah it's more of a get together & cook together, then everyone eats, thing); we all start eating & a few of us head off and being loud & quoting movies(with the accents, sound effects & all) and laughing till we're choking and spraying each other(yes, there were adults[well, I still wonder about that...] that were involved in that); and then we play games on the Wii & just play games; then we eat s'more; then we move onto dessert; then we keep talking; then plan for tomorrow's after Christmas' Sale, get tired & partied out(boring old folk, I know) & start to head out. Then I clean the mess!!! Dishes, leftovers, take down tables, trash, etc. It was fun all the way around & ended all too soon.
2) The New Year!!
That's a duh, but it DID happen. I celebrated the coming of the new year/closed out 2012 at a fun party at some awesome girls' house. Played sardines in their huge & dark yard, watched The Lorax & laughed all the way into next year, ate food, etc etc. 'twas awesome. Shoulda been there, srsly, you don't know what you missed....
3) Acquired my Driver's License.
Yes I did. Interesting story too...if ya wanna hear this, keep reading. If not, skip down to #4.
So I did the usual permit process-hold it for at least 6mths, and it was about to expire cuz it had been a year. So I figured time for the license. So I go in to the wonderful & ever-friendly DMV for the Behind the wheel test, and get the "office jerk & notorious-for-flunking-cuz-he-can-guy" and I was "unsatisfactorily". So I had to wait 2 weeks to go back & all that razz, and when I went back, I got a different dude(who was nice & totally cool) & did absolutely nothing different in the way I drive & such, and passed with only 3, and I quote, "minor" errors. Go figure...
So that my Driver's License & DMV Adventure!
4) The Finishment of My High School Career
Yes, I complete 1 chapter of my life & look forward with anticipation & eagerness towards the next. While I don't know, for sure & with absolute certainty, what I want to do career wise, I'm praying for guidance & entrusting that with The Lord. In other words, no I will not be at home for the next 10 years "waiting for The Lord to reveal what I should do" watching TV & living in the basement, if you know what I mean. It's my hope to go start college & get my Gen Ed & prerequisites started while I figure out what to major in.
5) My family has decided to build a pool.
Well, I grew up with a pool. Like, I learned how to swim before walking. Not kidding.
So when I moved, it was really difficult to not have this big watery hole to chill in. Swimming was srsly my life. So we're getting a pool built. The contractor dude said that if everything goes well, it will be complete in 3 weeks!! And I believe they're laying the steel rebar(that's the stuff that holds the form & concrete/cement/plaster) on mday!! So that means right now, there's this HUGE hole, that's the shape of the pool-to-be totally dominating our backyard. So I'm excited about that. POOL PARTIES, PEOPLE!!!!! w00t w00t!!!
6) I have developed this thorough adoration for a baby named Brody. You all have probably heard Le or I talking nonstop about his chunky, little legs, or his overall perfect cuteness that is unexplainable, but simply- Brody. Well, he's been crawling(so so SO cute) for a bit, and he's gonna start walking really soon, and he's sprouted his bottom 2 teeth, so when he smiles.........oh..........it's absolutely heart melting. So I've just become wrapped around this little boy's perfect, tiny, dimpled fingers. And for those of you who have had conversations with me about kids, you know I don't want any, and I still don't, but I've just become attached to this little guy and he's weaseled his way to my heart...
7) I'm relaunching this blog!
So with the relaunch of this thing, I'm kicking off with a mini-series of The Fruit of The Spirit.
I'm not sure exactly how/what to write about them, but I'm praying that the Holy Spirit will tell me what to type out & tell ya all.
While I'm not sure how often I'll be posting & such, just know I will be around & I'm back.
